Black Friday has turned into one of the biggest sale moments in the year, when big retailers run heavy discounts to attract Christmas shoppers looking for that perfect bargain. It sounds exciting, and let's be honest, when the list of gifts is long a discounted price tag does catch the eye. But it comes at a cost. Lower selling prices often mean less remuneration for workers or a lower quality in the products, as the difference needs to come out from somewhere along the production line.
It also puts a lot of pressure on small business. Little production batches means smaller margins, and discounts can have a huge impact on independent sellers over the festive period.
So we decided to do something a little different - give to a cause we believe in, rather than slicing our prices. Working alongside our sister brand Artisans & Adventurers, we are donating 10% of sales over the Black Friday weekend to African Promise, who do an amazing job building schools and improving sanitary conditions for thousands of children in Kenya.
Buy your pup's Christmas gifts this weekend and take a free leather poo pouch when you spend over £75. Because we give a crap.
