Let's Celebrate our LGBTQ+ communities with Pride!

Summer Pride this year is going to be a strange one - almost all the physical Pride marches have been cancelled or postponed until next year or much later this year. As a result, a huge amount of fundraising and awareness-building that goes on in the summer months has been impacted. But wait! There are still plenty of Virtual ways to join in this summer...

-

Aside from the very exciting range that we are about to launch (watch this space!) we wanted to share some other ways that we can all join in with Pride across the globe. Joining to help raise not just awareness, but also much needed funds and to celebrate our communities - not forgetting there is still a long way to go for so many of the LGBTQ+ rights that other groups in society take for granted. Part of the upcoming launch will be donating to two of our local LGBTQ+ charities both in Shoreditch in London and in Margate in Kent.

Luckily there will be plenty of ways for people to join in with virtual Pride festivals in 2020, starting today the 31st of May! From pop up painting, concerts to online Dating and Dances.

Pride Inside

28th June - 5th July

This week Amnesty International announced that it would be joining forces with UK Black Pride, Stonewall and ParaPride to bring this year’s Pride celebrations completely online.

“COVID-19 won’t stop us celebrating LGBT+ rights. This year, Pride will be inside – in our homes and in our hearts,” said Sen Raj, Amnesty International’s Rainbow Network committee member.

“Around the world, the pandemic is having a disproportionate effect on LGBTI+ people who have been historically discriminated against in their access to healthcare, housing and employment.

The virtual celebration will be dubbed Pride Inside and will see artists, musicians, comedians, DJs and activists come together for a series of performances, talks and workshops honouring the LGBT+ community, for more Info see:
