Wow! What a year it has been! Thank you to all of our fantastic customers who have made this year our busiest yet - we couldn't do it without you! Our team have got together to share our memories of 2021, as well as share our intentions for the coming year.
What is your favourite memory of 2021?
Leona: My favourite memory has to just be every day I got to spend with my family! After all of the various lockdowns, I treasure every single second I got to spend with my loved ones this year and will never take it for granted again.
Bee: Getting to spend time with my son and his girlfriend as they live quite far away and together with Wolfie we went on long walks and generally spent time as a family.
Amy: I’ve absolutely loved all the photoshoots we have worked on this year with our brilliant pack. Our dog jumpers arriving from our partner workshop in India has been another highlight, as we weren’t able to travel the collection was developed over WhatsApp and zoom calls. I really hope we can get out to India to meet the talented team there next year.
Nicola: Being able to travel up for a dear friends wedding in beautiful Scotland! It was so lovely to be able to celebrate with so many of my family and friends after a challenging year.
Natalie: When Hiro and Wolf came to stay with me for their holidays!
Dosh: My favourite memory of 2021 is getting my kitten Ezra.
What is one of your goals for 2022?
Leona: I would like to start learning Japanese again this year. I used to be able to speak and write very basic Japanese, but have lost most of it over the years and would really like the opportunity to learn again.
Bee: Hopefully to do more doggy events and reacquaint myself with our lovely supporters in London - Covid put an end to the wondering events we used to hold and it would be good to get back to this again.
Amy: I’m looking forward to getting back on the road with Hiro + Wolf. After all the travel restrictions and the closure of our London store due to Covid I’ve been really missing interacting with our customers and can’t wait to pop up at events around the country to get back in touch with our pack next year!
Nicola: Make sure to allow myself some more time to be creative- I love sewing and painting but often I don't make the time.
Natalie: For life to get back to normal and for my family and friends to be healthy and happy.
Dosh: A goal for 2022 is to learn how to use a knitting machine.
Shoutout an animal charity you will be supporting this year!
Leona: As I do every year, I will be supporting our charity partner, The Retreat Animal Rescue this year. They are so committed to saving animals from cruelty and getting to meet their founder, Billy, earlier this year was a real honour and a privilege.
Bee: Lord Whisky in Kent
Amy: I’ve loved working with The Retreat Animal Rescue this year! It’s been great to establish a long term partnership to support the work they do and I can’t wait to go for another visit in the Spring for cuddles with Joey the Donkey and the BEST vegan scotch eggs I have ever had!
Nicola: The Orangutan Foundation- They work to protect Orangutans natural forest habitat which is threatened by Palm Oil producers, as well as educating locals in efforts to conserve what little habitat these critically endangered species.
Natalie: The Wildwood Trust in Canterbury.
Dosh: Cats in Crisis because I got my dear little tabby girl Lady Wootton from them!
