No Dog Days here, time is the luxury of Lockdown

Over six weeks into Lockdown mode and we thought it would be fun to share some of the online cultural festivals, events and to-dos that have been inspiring us. We know that our Hiro + Wolf friends are as passionate about art and design as we are and wanted to share how various different creative communities have taken up the challenge to bring art, design, performance, nature and history into our homes. Here are some of the highlights:

ONLINE FILM FESTIVAL:

WE ARE ONE:

A Global Film Festival is set to run from May 29-June 7, 2020. Discover and watch films during this first ever 10-day global film festival co-curated by over 20 film festivals from across the world.

We Are OneWe Are One, The YouTube-hosted event will feature programming from 20 top film festivals including the Sundance Film Festival, Cannes Film Festival, Toronto International Film Festival, Tribeca Film Festival, Berlin International Film Festival and Venice Film Festival. The online festival will be available at youtube.com/weareone. The free-to-watch programming, which will not include any ads, is to include feature films, shorts, documentaries, music, comedy and panel discussions.

ART & DESIGN:

VDF  Virtual Design Festival is the world’s first online design festival - Running from 15 April to 30 June:

Each weekday, VDF will feature a mixture of cultural and commercial content created by Dezeen or in partnership with organisations, individuals and brands. They will host a rolling programme of online talks, lectures, movies, product launches and more. The 320 Festival, an online event created to bring awareness to the importance of mental health, provide resources to our community and normalise the conversation surrounding all mental health pursuits. A one-of-a-kind festival aimed at changing the way we talk about mental health.
